Haydn HastyHaydn Hasty

Haydn Hasty is President of MindSpring. He holds a B.A., in French, a M.A. in French, an Educational Specialist degree in curriculum and instruction, and a Ph.D. in psychology. Before creating MindSpring in 1995, Dr. Hasty was a student of leadership development for over 10 years at a major behavioral science firm where his philosophy, skills, and training values were deeply influenced and developed. In his own words, “It’s not what we know about leadership that matters but how much we can cause others to know. It’s not what we have achieved in our own lives but how much we can cause others to achieve. It’s not what we are but what we can cause others to be. This is the test of our worth and value to our clients.” He is a former finalist for North Carolina Teacher of the Year and is a certified Emotional Intelligence Trainer. An interesting note: Haydn loves disappearing on his pontoon boat into the wilderness of Fontana Lake and the surrounding Smoky Mountains.

Terry HastyTerry Hasty

Terry Hasty is Vice-President of MindSpring Consulting, Inc. She holds a BA degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and a M.S. degree in human resource development from Western Carolina University. She studied human resource development abroad in London, England, and has facilitated educational workshops in Europe. She develops and facilitates programs for women in leadership, teams, education faculties and corporate groups. She also serves as a facilitator and coach. Interesting note: Terry played tennis in college, and in her first career as a high school teacher also coached tennis. She loves Pilates and walking her dogs on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Bob CollinsBob Collins

Bob Collins serves as MindSpring’s Business Development Manager. He has 30 years experience in North America and Asia with 6 years residing in the Republic of Singapore and over 12 years working for major US companies in Japan, China, Taiwan, and India. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and a graduate of the Stanford Business Schools Senior Executive Development Program. He is a specialist in organizational structure, sales management, expansion development initiatives, long and short term business strategy development, and succession planning. His favorite piece of Asian wisdom: Get knocked down six times, get up seven.

Ashleigh StoiaAshleigh Stoia

Ashleigh Stoia is MindSpring’s technology advisor and creative whiz.  She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in Human and Organizational Development and is in the process of pursuing her Master’s in Organizational Leadership.  Ashleigh has spent the past seven years working as a market researcher, consultant and design and developer for corporate training and e-learning programs.  When she’s not busy playing with her two children, Ashleigh loves to put on her dancing and running shoes.

Mary MacGregorMary MacGregor

Mary MacGregor is MindSpring’s Administrative Assistant. In her third year with MindSpring, Mary is often referred to as our ATC (Air Traffic Controller).  In addition to her many skills and duties, Mary manages our 360 leadership evaluation processes, online assignments conducted by numerous clients, and event management for our in-house programs.  She graduated from Reynolds High School, and attended UNC-Asheville. An interesting note:  Mary participates in medieval re-creation with the Society for Creative Anachronism. She also enjoys quilting, beading and spending time with her husband and cats.
