MindSpring’s experience in educational development has taught us that staff development as a whole has little effect on teacher performance when conducted in the historical fashion of large numbers and short time frames. We have stated that, “Once the first bell rings, little will change before the last one does.” The shortage of time, the lack of financial resources, and the cultural paradigms of educator development truly set education apart from many other professions that receive professional training and development. While we believe that any of the EducationWorks programs would greatly benefit any individual school, our effort is intended to serve the educational system as a whole.

Without a doubt, we believe the most empowering developmental processes are those that increase the educator’s knowledge of who s/he is. EducationWorks, therefore, focuses on the training of the mind and emotions, and the professional skills and techniques needed to effect desired change in such a way that teaching becomes the joyful and rewarding experience for which it was intended.
